	Zane kennel name Jayshell Gauntlet, was whelped 7 July 2001. His father is Singapore Champion Nitro Von Tronje and his mum is Jayshell Fantasia. After the passing of my other German Shepherd Dog Arnie (Kamarn Ukeleli Kid) at the age of ten, I decided to look for a new pup. I was referred to Zane's breeder by two independent sources and after meeting Nicki I placed my name for one of her pups. One thing which impressed me about Zane was the ease of which we toilet trained him. Three days and nights using the crate-method and he was reliably house-trained. This is why I highly recommend crate-training for many clients and their pups or even adult dogs with toilet problems. Zane grew up with our other dog at the time a 10 year old boxer named Malone and our young kitten Gus (10 months of age). We quickly realised that Zane's exuberance was not appreciated by the old boxer Malone so we set out to get another dog as a playmate for Zane. I believe strongly in two-dog households due to the dog's need for socialising with its own kind as much as humans. We found our new dog at the RSPCA. A little Kelpie X called Beamer. Zane and Beamer were best of mates (Beamer ruled the roost). Beamer's tenacity was unmatched. Tragically we lost Beamer earlier this year. Zane has a very strong prey-drive which means he loves chasing and playing tug-of-war. Zane is a little naughty at times and very much obsessed with Gus our cat. However, Zane has a great ability for scenting easily following a line of scent to its track layer. Zane and Eever are getting on fine and now, after one week since Eever arrived on the scene, we are seeing them play and chase each other as though they were old friends.
